Idiot of the Week

This week's Idiot of the Week goes, collectively, to Amnesty International. The human rights organization that is always doing everything it can to sabotage actions of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, and at every chance helps the Palestinian Authority, a serial violator of human rights.

Sometimes they even go as far as suggesting that the abuse of Palestinian women by Palestinian men, in the Palestinian areas is, of course, Israels fault. In one case Amnesty reported: "Palestinian women in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are victims of multiple violations as a result of the escalation of the conflict, Israel's policies..."

Can their hatered of Israel be so blind as to make them even loose sight of their prime objectives? Instead of trying to better women's treatment in the West Bank and Gaza they blame Israel's policies. Maybe they should have a look at this video aired on an Arab network on imposing discipline in the family by hitting women. The use of a cane is explained in detail.

On to the Jericho raid. Amnesty's full press release can be read here, but two pearls of wisdom that can be found there are:

"Amnesty International is deeply concerned about the safety of Palestinian detainees in Jericho Prison..."

Yes, inmate safety was always a top concern for Amnesty. Too bad they take it more seriously than the safety of innocent civillians killed by these inmates.

"The UK and US contributed to perpetuating an extra-legal arrangement over the past four years during which Ahmad Saadat and his co-detainees were held arbitrarily by the PA"

'Extra-legal' and 'Arbitrarily'?

Maybe Amnesty forgot that another signature on this agreement says "Palestinian Authority" and that the prisoners were being held for the murder of an Israeli minister. Doesn't seem arbitrary to me.

I hereby declare Amnesty International as 'Idiots of the Week'
