‘The Daily Clue’ will, day by day, shed some light on the Arab World. So without further ado, here is #1:

Article 116, penal law, Islamic Republic of Iran: “Stones used in stonings should neither be too big to kill the adulterous at first or second blow nor as small as a pebble”

From Apostates of Islam: In stoning to death, the victims’s hands are tied behind their backs and their bodies are put in a cloth sack. Then, this human “package” is buried in a hole, with only the victims heads showing above the ground. After the hapless individual has been secured in the hole, people start chanting “Allah hu Akbar” (meaning, God is great), and throw palm sized stones at the head of the victim from a certain distance (a circle is drawn). The stones are thrown until the person dies or until he/she escapes out of the hole and crosses the circle. Escaping is impossible, given that the individual’s hands are tied behind their backs and they are buried in a hole upto their necks or shoulders. Naturally, the procedure is extremely barbaric and bloody.

The UN is pretty useless, that much is known. Their main sport these days is passing anti-israel resolutions, but while we’re waiting for the “The Jericho Raid was a Crime” resolution to come in, have a look at this brilliant cartoon by cox and forkum, another case of mad cow disease had just been unvovered in the US:

Brilliant politicians, scientists, athletes and entertainers are the heroes of most societies. This is not the case in most of the Arab world which constantly glorifies murderers through television series, street signs and songs. “There is no greater honor than dying for Allah” is a common theme in many a song or series broadcasted in the Palestinian areas and other parts of the Arab world.

Palestinian Authority leaders have repeatedly honored Samir Kuntar, the murderer of a father and his daughter as a brave leader through state controlled media. from PMW: “He was sentenced to 542 years in prison for committing the brave Nahariya action in Palestine (note-Israel city of Nahariya is defined as ‘Palestine.’) [PATV, Aug. 18, 2004]

Kuntar infiltrated Israel from Lebanon in 1979 killing Danny Haran and his four year old daughter. Danny’s other daughter, Yael, suffocated while hiding in a small space with her mother. Kuntar was convicted of multiple murders and is serving several life sentences in an Israeli prison.

Last week he was granted an honorary citizenship by the Palestinian Authority.
